Teen driving without a license is killed in Sussex crash
January 2, 2007
LONG NECK, Del. (AP) - State police are investigating a
single-vehicle fatal crash in the Long Neck area that killed a
Millsboro teen.
It happened about 8:40 last night on Route 5, about a mile north
of Route 24.
According to police, 16-year-old Jeremy Mroz lost control of his
S-U-V after passing another vehicle and returning to the northbound
lane. Police say the car went into a spin, went off the road and
hit a utility pole.
Mroz was trapped in the vehicle and died at the scene. Police
say he was not a licensed driver and was driving his father's
vehicle without his knowledge. He was not wearing a seatbelt.
